The high school will reopen for in-person learning next week. Those who tested positive will not return to school until they have completed isolation procedures. The email said the high school is following guidance from the state Department of Education by temporarily closing. Parents were notified, she said, but no additional measures are being taken, as there is just one case in each school. Shelly Belcher, a district spokeswoman, said there are also presumed positive cases in both Peters Township Middle School and McMurray Elementary. “All three cases are unrelated to in-school transmission,” the email reads. Peters Township School District notified families via email that it learned of one case of covid-19 and two other cases presumed positive.
